Telemetry swap outs plus free LoRa Network upgrades

Watermetrics has steadily progressed its Telemetry swap out on meters, weather and soil moisture monitoring equipment. In conjunction with the swap out, we are upgrading our LoRa Network for better data flow with much-improved accuracy and reliability.

Having completed the upgrade in Mid / North Canterbury we’re now active in South Canterbury / North Otago.

Please NOTE our offer of free telemetry replacement ends 30 June 2021

The upgrade is just part of our service improvement…..

Watermetrics has developed a complete service to manage your on-farm irrigation. Our data presentation ensures correct irrigation application, ensuring maximum pasture and crop growth while minimising the amount of water used with savings of up to 30% on your pumping charges.

The presentation shows exactly how you’ve managed the amount of water used and highlights areas of overuse. It can all be viewed via your smartphone.

We use our Soil Moisture Analytics which displays rainfall and irrigation so that its effect on the soil moisture can easily be interpreted.

In addition, we use Swan Systems to predict both accurate amounts and timing of irrigation to achieve particular crop/pasture targets.

Watermetrics offers world-class measuring data from our high-quality water meters, climate and soil moisture monitoring equipment. Our ability to bring all this data together to display the information in a simple easily used way is industry-leading.

The net result on-farm is demonstrable cost saving, improved water allocation and environmental responsibility with detailed records of performance.

This season we have been running demonstrations of using our equipment in Potatoes, Viticulture, Kiwifruit and Dairy. The crop cycle hasn’t yet completed but already we have some exciting results and improvements in crop management. The detail is too much to display here but if you are interested in seeing how this could be applied on your farm, contact Richard Campion, our Agronomist.
